about

My Father Saul Antonio Hernandez Jr. is one of the best men I have ever known. He showed every day of his life by example what it is to be a man. Strong, honest, hardworking, loving, caring always. So many memories of him being so solid, and so loving. Present to the world and the ways he could serve in it. I hope to reflect some portion of his goodness, that all my faults are my own and that which is good in me I owe to him.

lyrics

No one was stronger than him
Nobody braver than he
My old man
Running through the mountains and streams
Swimming in the cold ocean tide
All my life
I was hurting I knew who to call
Care for me after the fall
My old man

He was a young man like me yesterday
I hope I'll be just like him today
He was a young man like me yesterday
I pray I'll be just like him today

Wanted to be just like him
Meals were filled with his love
My Whole life
Working those twelve hour shifts
but never missed one of my games
My old man
Wasn't easy to start all anew
Had nothing made this house a home
My whole life

He was a young man like me yesterday
I hope I'll be just like him today
He was a young man like me yesterday
I pray I'll be just like him today
